I know I had been sort of being bugged by indolence lately. Maybe because it's summer and the presence of my husband around me 24/7 create a relaxing effect on me. I have so many ideas and stories to tell which are worthy and apt to post here and share to everybody, but as I've said, I apologized for being so darn lazy.
Each day The Rocker (I will make this as my hubby's nickname), is spent either lounging around the house in front of the boob tube, or working on his songs and practicing his riffs in his studio. Squeeze in some time for work-outs in the gym and picnicking at nearby parks. He also spends an enormous time with his BFF (best friend forever ) who's his co-band member, Todd, discussing updates with people interested in their songs.
Oh I forgot to tell you, The Rocker was into a band --an original band with Todd , more than a decade ago. It's called "FREERIDER." When Todd registered at MySpace, he also uploaded FREERIDER's songs. There was really no big expectation at that time. Only to share the music. But his network of friends love the songs so much, getting so many raves to the point where they really write letters praising the musical masterpieces of FREERIDER So, the idea of registering the band and the songs at CD Baby and Reverbnation came through. Then Mr. Martin McCool, a British author/journalist/music&movie reviewer gave a fantastic thumbs-up review of the band's songs, the FREERIDER trio, knew instantly they will have a promising hit.
Uhmmmm....promising? Yeah all promises and no "in the works" yet. But FREERIDER clinched a deal. A great deal. The interactive video game, Rock Band which is made by the company Harmonix, a competitor of Activision (creators of Guitar Hero), with its new uploading program Rock Band Network includes songs from The Rocker's band, FREERIDER. The song uploads will be available for avid gamers in the Rock Band Network store and users of the Rock Band videogame on XBox 360 later this year. Soon thereafter, the most popular tracks will be available for Sony Playstation, and Nintendo Wii game users. So, you peepz, watch out for the release late this year, and upload Freerider's songs to your Rock Band game. I guarantee you, the tunes are awesome).
Isn't that exciting? Playing Rock Band will be quite another experience with new songs that are not only coming from established musicians and music icons. It's another worthwhile experience playing amazingly cool tunes from unknown yet talented musicians like FREERIDER. By September, the song downloads are for your enjoyment through the Rock Band game. surely, I will update again for more announcements. So go ahead and join the FREERIDER "Rock Band."
